SHADOW SITE Series

Shadow sites are forms of archaeological features visible from the air. When the sun is low in the sky it casts long shadows dramatizing differences in ground heights.  Hollows and depressions are illuminated from one side by the sun and reveal previously undetected archaeological sites. In the same way, over time and viewed from different angles, memories and old experiences can take on new meanings.
